Agreement

By using BuddyCheck, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use BuddyCheck

You are responsible for the account you create and the information you provide. If you are under 13, use BuddyCheck only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Community Policy

BuddyCheck is meant to help friends build daily Bible and prayer habits together. Before posting buddy-visible notes, comments, or prayer requests, you must explicitly accept the current version of these Terms and this Community Policy.

Do not post, request, encourage, or link to content that:

  • sexually exploits or endangers a child, or contains illegal sexual content;
  • is sexually explicit, hateful, dehumanizing, or targets a protected group;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, doxes, or encourages violence or self-harm;
  • impersonates another person, exposes private information, or violates someone else’s rights;
  • promotes scams, spam, malware, criminal activity, or other illegal conduct; or
  • is otherwise abusive, dangerous, or unrelated to the purpose of BuddyCheck.

Do not attempt to access another account, evade a block or moderation action, disrupt the service, or use BuddyCheck in violation of the law.

Your content

You may add notes, prayer requests, comments, profile information, and other content. Buddy-visible content is shown to the people connected to you as buddies. You keep responsibility for what you add. You give Sagebrush Church permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate BuddyCheck.

Filtering, reporting, blocking, and moderation

BuddyCheck uses automated rules to filter certain content before it is shared. No filter is perfect. You can separately report content or a member from inside the app, and you can block a member to end one-to-one interaction. Blocking removes the buddy relationship; unblocking does not restore it.

We review reports and may remove content, suspend or terminate an account, preserve information when legally required, or take no action when a report does not identify a violation. To report an urgent concern outside the app, email buddycheck@sagebrush.church.

Bible and third-party content

BuddyCheck may display Bible passages or related content supplied by third-party providers. Those providers may have their own terms. We may change content sources when needed to keep the app working.

Free service

BuddyCheck is currently free. There are no ads, subscriptions, or premium tiers. We may update the app, change features, pause features, or stop offering the service if needed.

No professional advice

BuddyCheck is a faith habits app. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or emergency support. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person near you.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your BuddyCheck account. Visit Account deletion for the current steps.

Disclaimer

BuddyCheck is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it useful and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device.
